Sat waiting at Singapore Changi airport for our flight to Perth. Had a reasonable last day here, not really felt up to doing too much as neither of us slept brilliantly. Tried to have a day or two of not too much walking as its beginning to feel like we've walked half way around South East Asia! Yesterday we went to look around Chinatown which had a lot of CNY tacky decoration shops and a street market which seemed a little tame after KL (although it was nice to be able to walk around and look at things without being hassled to buy)! Got my haggling down to an art on a silk brocade kimono but decided I wasn't keen on the colour...

Good morning from Singapore :-) Yesterday was not the most exciting as it mainly involved travelling. We had a very leisurely breakfast at Starbucks killing time and listening to the bus conductors hawking for passengers shouting 'chup chup chup' or something similar. We started the day with more cake. Anna played safe with the same two types as yesterday whereas I went for peach and sesame seed cake and a pineapple and coconut tart, both yummy. We sat under a tree by the river and ate them while watching a monitor lizard and large brown fish in the water. We both struggled to wake up this morning, the quiet of the hotel with the cool air con makes sleeping too easy. That and we've walked flippin' miles over the last few days!! We had an exciting trip to the post office where I sent home some of my stuff...should have taken Alpkit Nick's advice and just packed my credit card and passport, although I would now be wearing nothing but Thai fishing trousers and Chinese dressing gowns!! Feeling a little less affluent...
