Wait for it....at the Copa Copacabana....guess where I was today??

Walked from hostel in Ipenema to Copacabana. Loving all this walking! The book & guides all say Copacabana is rubbish & Ipanema better. Hmmmm I beg to disagree! To be fair I have been spoilt with glorious, silky sand, deserted beaches for the last 2 months but the sand on Copacabana beats Ipenema hands down. Everyone is so friendly there too.

After a heathy dose of sun & a book down I started the wander down the rest of Copacabana & Leme to Pau de Azucar (Sugar Loaf). My new havaianas took a right pounding today. After wandering (quickly) through some dodgy places finally arrived at the cable car station an hour later. In time for sunset hurrah!!!

Cable cars looks super scary but they were really quick, safe & fun. Was so weird to hear lots of English accents...not heard much since I left....felt really different from them. Love that lots of people keep taking me for Brazilian. My understanding of Portuguese is improving but my speaking is still rubbish!!

Saw the sunset from Sugar Loaf...unforgettable experience...everyone should do it!
