Last night we arrived in the jungle just outside San Ignacio. We arrived at night & it was pitch black. Thank goodness for my head torch :)

We are staying in wooden cabins just big enough for two beds. Thanks to our fab Tour Leader, Victor, have managed to rig our mosquito nets to beat the nasty critters.

Today my roomie, Emma & I, took a trip to the ATM cave (Sorry folks can't remember the full Mayan name but everyone calls it ATM). We hiked through the jungle & crossed through the river up to our middle three times before arriving at the cave. We then spent 3 hours spelunking, swimming, wading, clambering, scrambling & exploring the Mayan underworld culminating in the 1000 year old skeleton of a female sacrificial victim. Incredible!!! Was only being able to see a few feet in front of me & was in water stretching away into the dark where the bats roost. Another fear conquered!
