I met the group this morning to catch the local bus to the Rokuon-Ji Temple or as it's also known as the "Golden Pavilion". I met the group in the morning as we were going to the Peace Museum to hear a survivor speak about his experience in the bombing of Hiroshima. Listening to him speak about what happened that day was unbelievable. How he survived that day was, I can't even find the words to describe what I was feeling listening to him speak. I met the group in reception at 8.30am for our trip to Miyamjima, which is an island off Hiroshima. We caught a tram then a ferry out to the island. Once on the island we looked at the O-tori gate, Itsukushima Shrine and the Daishoin temple. These were amazing sights to see and the island as a whole was so beautiful.
