I met the group in the morning as we were going to the Peace Museum to hear a survivor speak about his experience in the bombing of Hiroshima. Listening to him speak about what happened that day was unbelievable. How he survived that day was, I can't even find the words to describe what I was feeling listening to him speak.
Afterwards we went back to the hotel and I caught a cab with Jan and Kaitlyn to the station to catch a bullet train to Himeji for the day to look at the Himeji-jo Castle. The castle was amazing and one of the last of it kind left in Japan. The local guide took us through the castle and it was amazing to hear about the history of the place.
After the castle we walked back through the centre, had Starbucks and went back to the station to get our train to Kyoto. Whilst waiting at the station my back started to hurt and thankfully someone had some Nurofen with him or her to kill the pain but it still really hurt. Once we got to Kyoto Jan offered to treat my back, as she was a Natural healer. She did some Bowen on my back, which worked straight away. I was so glad she was there as that could've been the end of my trip.
We then met the group and caught a taxi to a local restaurant where we cooked the meal ourselves. We cooked beef and veggies, which was really nice. After a great meal we walked through the Gion district to try and spot the Geisha, but was horrified to see Ashlea, Michelle, Elysse and Kristen ran after these poor women and take pictures of them. We then caught the subway back and called it a night.
