I got a wake up call for breakfast, so I got out of bed and made my way down. The breakfast wasn't that great but it was enough to see me through to lunch. Today I couldn't get out of bed for breakfast and apparently I missed a good breakfast. Oh well! I went for a walk and ended up running into Mike and ended up going for coffee, waffles and cake, but then the peacefulness was soon spoiled by the girls, (Ashlea, Elysse, Michelle and Kristen) turning up, but we were glad to see Steven and Julie who also joined us. Got up at 7.30am to have breakfast, but I wasn't that keen on it, plus I had no idea what I was eating. I went back to my room for a bit, then went out an wondered around the village. On my way I ran into Charlotte, who decided to come with me. We went to the morning markets, Kusakabe Folk Museum and the floats museum. We then went to a café and had lunch, then met the group for dinner a little later. Hiro took us to a Miso restaurant, which we cook ourselves...

After breakfast I went back up to my room and packed my bags as today we were leaving to Takayama. We caught a bus back to Odawara, and then caught a train to Nagoya, then another connecting train to Takayama. We then had a short walk to the guesthouse. This guesthouse was beautiful. It was an old mansion from what I remember and it had beautiful wooden structures and floors, just beautiful. After checking in we went on an orientation walk around the village....
