Julie: Not content with our daring diving adventure Katie and I also had a little go on a jet ski in Nah Trang. Unfortunately the guy wouldn't let us go on together, very sexist as he let lads ride the jet ski themselves!! We also had to swim out to the jet ski in some massive waves and highly entertained the crowds of people laying on the beach by being knocked over by the waves and losing our bikinis/swimming costumes several times. Katie bravely got on first and the guy sped up and down a couple of times and then Katie jumped off and i swam out (holding my bikini on for dear life!). The guy clearly realised that i was a fearless passenger (or, more likely that we had drawn a rather large crowd by this time and he wanted to show off) and we sped up and down then performed several scary stunts which had me screaming in delight/fear! Anyway I managed to hang on somehow and proudly rode into the beach edge. However, I was under the impression that i would have to jump off out in the deeper part like Katie, but no, suddenly the guy accelerated at the beach and we sped up onto the sand. As i wasn't really expecting this i got off balance and managed to topple off and roll in the sand with my bikini bottoms lodged quite far up my arse, in front of the now pretty large crowd of onlookers. Oh dear, the shame! All in the name of fun though, right!!! On 24th Feb we bid our fond farewells to the beautiful Nah Trang and got on another scary bus with a suicidal bus driver and headed down to Mui Ne, another lovely beach resort (its a tough life!). So far we have sunabathed and swam in the sea. We also hired a moped today which was fun! Katie had to spend the day ferrying Em, Alyson and I about as we aren't brave enough to drive it ourselves. Em was very good at beeping the horn though, which is an essential part of riding a moped in Vietnam. Tomorrow we are off on a sunrise trip to the sand dunes in a jeep. We have to get up at half four in the morning, yuk!!!!!!!!!! So its off to bed now for us and we will update again soon. xx
