After sleeping late again, we had time to take a walk in the neighborhood. While we were out, we put the luggage in the car and noticed that one tire was low. Fortunately, there was a Discount Tire right across the street. They had a drive up lane just for little emergencies like this. They were able to fix the tire while we waited. Great service.
We found the restaurant for lunch a little earlier than planned and did some walking in the shopping center there. Before we got very far though, we saw Bill and Paula drive up. We went on over for lunch at Red Lobster. Always good and the service was nice. It was a slow Saturday for them and we were at the only occupied table in that part of the restaurant for quite a while.
We finished visiting with P&B and said our good-byes. We never seem to have enough time with them and will have to plan another visit soon, but we wanted to get on the road to San Antonio before it got too late.
When we left the restaurant, we drove directly west rather than going the way that the GPS suggested trying to avoid all the traffic in Houston. It made for a nice drive without any delays passing by field after field of bluebonnets and Indian paint
