hello all, as usual senegal is beautiful... unfortunately it is flu season here so i had to go to the doctor today which is not really fun... but thats okay it was comfortable, etc and i got a spray for my poor infected throat and some really really strong ibuprofen that is supposed to make the swelling go down... seems to be doing the trick... and for both of those meds... ten buckssss!!! can you believe it? thats without insurance etc covering a penny!!!

sat night we went clubbing... a friend of ours took us to le senat which is apparently one of the nicest if not the nicest club in dakar. i was told that akon, yes thats right the akon we know in the states goes to le senat to party to when he is here in senegal, and that he got his music started in that club actually... so thats pretty cool i think... that we got to go there but it was expensive!! not to get in or anything... it was ladies free until 1am but the rest was expensive oh boy!

all in all it was a great night though, and we had spent that day at the beach at ngor... yesterday was the first day off ive had since weve been here so that was really nice to get to sleep in and everything. tomorrow i have interviews to do for my research project and have to finish setting up another one tonight...

i hope all is well in the us and in the states in general and that everyones summers are going really well!!! have a blast... and i will see you all pretty soon!

until then, i will continue enjoying this beautiful country and i will see you all when i get home or back to school...
