We arrived in Nha Trang at 6am, just before the sun rose. We made our way straight down to the beach where loads of people were doing their morning tai chi. We booked in to a lovely hotel and decided that we wanted to visit a local waterfall. Potentially the best day of the trip!!!!! Picked up at 9am, Charlie had his 2 minute moped driving lesson and we were handed our 'anti emissions' masks and we were off. The rain was still hammering it down at this point so I looked like a panda by the time we got a puncture 45 mins in to our 7 (ish) hour journey. We eventually passed through the rain and things became a whole lot more enjoyable, helped by the fact we were now descending in to the mountains! Views...

We rode the sleeper bus from Hanoi to Hue, getting on at 7pm to take our places in our leather bed/seats, pretty amazing really! We weren't next to each other but close enough. Rule is shoes off. So a 4hour mini bus journey got us to Halong Bay, a bit of hanging around (during this time I discovered the joys of Vietnamese coffee with 'milk') and we set off on our cruise. A lovely lunch was provided, myself and Charles opting out of sea food and were spoilt with the pork, beef and various chicken dishes we were specially made.
