So.... We got up bright and early, earlier than anticipated as the combination of the time difference and setting out alarm at the wrong time got us up and down to breakfast by about 6.30am!! We arrived in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, on Saturday evening. Arriving at our hotel, The Rising Dragon Estate, it was in quite a central location, although it seemed to be closer to the 'locals' part of town as opposed to the tourist area. Our room was okay (rock hard bed) and the shower cubical had a leak but all we needed was to get some rest, so it was straight to bed ready to explore Hanoi the next day.
