Hangzhou was a very nice city to visit.......and had much more of what we had expected from Suzhou. The weather there was actually pretty nice and so we walked around alot of the city on the first day. We went through the central part of the original city (the CBD is separated), where there is a pedestrian street filled with alot of interesting shops and a whole heap of food sellers. The following day we hired bikes again and are now getting used to the saddles and the mad rules of cycling on the road. Also, Chinese bikes are awful........they are really rusty and old and have only one gear, however, some do have a basket and a bell!! So on the bikes we went around West Lake and through some of the busier city streets until we found a waterway to go along and into big housing areas where we found a massive food market. Almost missed our train out of Hangzhou as we went to the wrong train station, not realising that Hangzhou in fact has 2 stations. Luckily we'd got to the first with plenty of time to spare so had to jump in a taxi asap and got really ripped off. So caught the train at 19:00 yesterday and arrived in Guilin at 16:30 today. Now we're headed off to try some typical Guilin food.
