We are now in Colonia Del Sacramento in Uruguay, a unique and attractive historical town just across the water from Buenos Aires. It has cobbled streets and loads of vintage cars driving around for some reason, and is surrounded by sea on 3 sides. Today was cloudy and a bit rainy but we paddled and the sea is very warm so will look forward to swimming when it´s a bit sunnier! We`re pleased to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city as it very quiet and relaxing here, still lots of tourists but it`s not so packed and traffic is much calmer so crossing the road isn`t so scary! Our hostel is ok, I think we were a bit spoilt with the last one as it was so nice but there`s nothing wrong with this one it just doesn`t have much character and we don`t get free breakfast! The boat trip across was just a ferry trip and you couldn`t go out on deck so it wasn`t very exciting. The day before (Sunday) we went to an area just outside of BA called Tigre which was pleasant but there wasnpt much to do there so we just sat by the river and explored the little market. Tomorrow we`re moving on to Montevideo- the capital, for a few nights before staying with Rose`s friend and her parents in Punta Del Este which is a posh and expensive beach resort so good job we`ve got people to stay with!
