I managed to climb the mountain! It was very exciting and difficult but worth it. I finally managed to escape Colombia (is is so relaxed and fun there in equal measures it is hard to leave!) after a fun 3 or so weeks there and after trouble with my flight booking to La Paz which caused me to fly 2 days later than originally planned.
