I don't think I've ever been so relaxed in my whole in tire life after today. We walked about 1 minute to get to the Hammam Molly and Bek had payed for , as a present for my birthday. A Hammam is sometimes called a turkish bath , that was used by europeans and also Arabs in history as a method of relaxation and cleansing. Our place had steamy pools, a sauna and a massage room all underground. You were taken downstairs into a large dim room that was quite humid. There were three different pools you could hop in and out of that were all different temperatures. We walked down the scented hallway into the warm pool, that was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep in it. You could hear a pin drop as you had to be silent whilst in the Hammam. We jumped from the warm pool to the hot pool and then the sauna. I've never been in a sauna before but my god it was hot! I was literally sitting in a pool of my own sweat. We then bravely stepped into the freezing cold pool that felt so nice on your body after the sauna. I then got called into the massage room and chose lavender oil for my massage. It only lasted 20 minutes but the massage was so soft and it felt nice to be pampered. Unfortunately I wasn't aloud to take and photos. After coming back to the hotel all refreshed, we decided to head out to the historical El Retiro park to eat our dinner. It was massive and so green ! There were also random cats running in and out of the shrubs. My kind of park. We walked past the famous fallen angel sculpture that looked pretty cool. I found out it represents an angel who has been sent out of heaven for sinning or something. It's also built 666 metres above sea level which was on purpose as it is a representation of lucifer as well . Pretty interesting stuff ay? So we found a lush spot of grass surrounded by trees where we ate our chips and dip , nuts and salad. The bus leaves at 8am tomorrow morning for Pamplona ehhhh , but at least we can snooze all day. Time for Spanish tv and bed , xoxo Alice.
