hello.

Well, its 2 days since the full moon party now and things are finally getting back to normal on the island. I wasn't really prepared for what went on at the full moon. I went with 2 girls who've been working over here and know the locals really well and we didnt get out til about midnight by which time the party was in full flow.

We started off at a bar at the end of the beach just taking in the sights and waiting for all the real drunken lunatics to pass out. we made it down to the beach which involved a lot of struggling through the crowds-I've never seen so many people all trying to dance on top of each other, you couldn't even move!

Eventually we settled in Cactus bar and I danced the night away, finally leaving at 9 in the morning, it was so surreal to be partying when it was light. Crashed out on the beach were thousands of wasted travellers, some of them looked dead but everyone was just stepping over them.

The girls went to the after-party at back yard and I think were there til the next day, I couldn't have managed that.

Spent yesterday recovering, watching movies and have done much the same today as the rain has not stopped, monsoon stylee. Wanted to get out of Phangan but it seems the boats only leave early in the morning and i missed them, so now I have the task of finding somewhere else to stay for another night here. I hope it stops raining soon.
