Well, the whole day yesterday was spent on board a train. The trip was 12 hours so I got up very early to get a taxi to the station and spent many long boring hours on the train. They did give us loads of meals but I could barely touch any of them, the food was so horrid. Eventually arrived in Chaing Mai at 8.30 and got taken straight to my hotel which I've decided was a real bargain. Its a proper hotel with swimming pool, bar, restaurant and the best I've stayed in so far, so I'm using these last couple of days to really enjoy myself and relax. Really disappointed I didn't get a chance to do the jungle trekking but its quite pricey and my knee has been terrible so doubt I would have managed it anyway. There's always next time. Quite tempted to do something with my day tommorrow but not entirely sure what, there's a million tours available so its just a matter of choosing one.
