How would it be that the only time we have to wander around in Dublin I would be to sick to do it. I finally caught the flu that was doing the rounds in our previous tour bus. We got a sleep in for once and I made the most of it. Had a quick shower and made it just in time to catch the bus for our orientation tour of the city. We saw most of the major sites, but that main one was the Guinness factory which would have to wait. I was laid up in bed all afternoon so I don't have to much information for you unfortunately. We did get to the factory and it was brilliant. The tour and tour guide were fantastic and full of knowledge about the processes. We had our free pint in the gravity bar which had a magnificent 360 degree view of Dublin and it is true, the Guinness tastes better in Ireland than anywhere else. I can hardly drink the stuff back in Australia, but here it was magic. It's because of the water (of course) and they only export the proper stuff to the UK and the continent. Also did you know that the 2nd biggest Guinness brewery in the world is in Nigeria? True story, the African continent has 3 of the 4 or 5 other breweries outside Ireland. Apparently they love the foreign export brew like it's going out of fashion. We are back to the UK tomorrow and I think in really goof to miss Ireland. Everything about it is appealing, it feels like home. They love there sport, the scenery is amazing and the people are very friendly and funny. Also the girls are intriguing and cute (not that it matters to me) and they love a tipple and a joke. It's just my kind of place, the emerald isle. We will be visiting Scotland soon so it will be interesting to compare the two places. So so long from the city of 1000 welcomes and the land of saints and scholars.
