I haven't felt as reflective as i do right now. I won't be able to get it down in words. I am sitting at the most easterly point of mainland Australia looking out towards the great pacific. It is a surreal feeling to think about how much water is in front of me. I won't have to worry about flying over it for another month or so, but I guess this is half way in my trip.
Byron really is hippy. The are no other words. Everyone dresses so diversely even if it is just a pair of low slung board shorts. Half the cars/vans have been customised with spray paint and if there was one thing I could make Britain do, that is it, to make our vehicles more exciting and interesting. Sea foam. Lots of it. It wobbles like jelly and picks up the dirt as it flys up and at me. I moved but the damage is done and now I need a shower. Because it smells. And I don't want to smell.

I've met a lovely bunch if Brits an Europeans in the second hostel which is much more chilled, spacious and convenient than Nomads who had to upgrade us because they double booked our room (huzzah!). We went to the beach and I exhibited my terrible footy skills before turning in to protect myself from sun exposure. I was also tired from swimming against a strong current.
I want to put a better effort into meeting more local people now though. Which will probably be hard since everyone on the kiwi experience will be a traveller. I hope I might woof somewhere for a while to get a bigger dose of culture.
Food. Still eating yummy home brand muesli for breakky with water instead of milk and fair for extra fibre. Though yesterday KaTee treated me to a slap up breakfast (pancakes with honey, lemon curd, strawberries and banana) and coffee. It was divine.
