After some fine late night cooking, (using authentic Japanese cooking knives and home grown basil and cherry tomatoes) supported by a touch of wine I caught up with my long lost Geelong mate, Ryan, after 2 months to the day making Sarah a tad jealous as she is still there teaching, I think. Geelong is a fine little town an hour from Melbourne. It's cute and spread out as with all Oz, but the view over the river resembles that if Middlesbrough. Not pretty. Albeit, we went for awesome coffee at his usual haunt where I had magic coffee that really was something special, but I couldn't pinpoint why. And the banana bread rivalled the fantastic one I made in first year at uni. Nom. It was served with cream and honey.
We just made it to Sydney last night and are about to leave for costume creation ready for Mardi Gras tonight. The weather is EXACTLY like my last summer memories of England. The caravan park too. Suffice to say I am looking forward to some culture tonight. I'm told it is a cross between gay Pride and Brazil Mardi Gras. Should be great. It is strange but really interesting and a nice change to be in other countries for holidays like new year and pancake day and I am sure Easter will be he same. I'm just glad I had main best one with family!

The landscapes have changed dramatically since the Nullarbor and they are like the Lake District or Wales on a wider scale. I think I have taken Britain for granted and am excited to explore it more when I get back. The same goes for Europe!
Fact: Brits are known as pommes in oz because of the pomegranate colour our skin takes when we comes here. A general ignorance Qi buzzer will have sounded if you thought it actually stood for prisoner of the motherland.
