Koh Samui
A short hour ferry journey we touched down in Koh Samui, a lot bigger and busier than Koh Tao. Everything was buzzing here. We jumped on the bike again and did all the sights including Big Buddha, Mummified monk who had been dead for 30 years but still managed to keep up with the fashion with his Ray Ban sunglasses on hahaaa! Oh and we saw the two famous rocks shaped like a male and females genitalia oops! We drove for almost 2 hours trying to find a waterfall, but instead got a puncture in the middle of nowhere!! Luckily after half hour on bumpy roads we found a local who's house doubled up as a bike garage. Off we went for more sightseeing again and found a locals street market with all sorts of food, drinks clothes etc.
That evening was the night of the black moon party, which we decided to go to. It was like a mini festival with loads of UV decoration, a main stage and a Mui Thai ring. There are not many rules in Thai boxing so the fight was quite brutal! After watching three matches we decided to hit the bucket for the first time. The bucket basically was full of Hong Thong Thai rum and red bull. We only managed two each......
We stupidly accepted a ride back to the hotel with a bike taxi. The driver was quite big and so could barely fit us both on. The three of us wobbled back swerving in between cars.
It was pretty scary.
