Phi Phi
We were most excited about Phi Phi as we were expecting it to be the closest thing to paradise yet, just like in the movie “The Beach”.
Phi Phi was the smallest island yet, no cars or bikes, just small winding lanes. Although it was a bit ruined by heavy tourism of many years it was still picture perfect, white sand and clear blue sea. Our accommodation was a tree hut up a small hill with views over looking the island. Walking around, the island seemed way too overcrowded with people, market stalls, bar, restaurants and tattoo shacks for its size. It felt like a mini Ibiza.
Every night there were beach parties into the early hours which we went to a few of them. There were Thai guys flame throwing or with giant skipping ropes that are on fire and everyone has a go at jumping through the flames.
The next few days were spent lying on the beach all day, and evenings were filled with nice meals followed by whiskey buckets and dancing on the beach. It was a fun place to be.
