The Gilli's In the north west of Lombok there was three tiny sand islands called the Gilli's. We had heard a lot of good things about them and so were well excited to go. Lombok The locals said Lombok was Bali but 30 years ago and we could see what they meant. Coming in on the ferry we could see deserted beaches and behind that lush green rain forest. Bali After spending few nights in the Mountains we headed for Bali. The first impressions were wow this is nothing like Java, people didn't seem to be as warm and friendly as Javanese. Yogyakarta Eleven hours on the night train and we arrived in Yogyakarta or as the locals call it Yogja. It was a small city, much quieter and with a totally different feel to Jakarta.
