Krabi

Next stop Krabi. It was a little quitter here and not much to do. The beach was big but all along the beach front it was quite empty, many building had not been rebuilt after the tsunami and there were warning signs dotted all round the sea front. A scary reminder!

All the attractions seemed to be really far from each other so a bike was a must.
The drive about was really picturesque with lots of rock faces and mountains surrounded by rain forest. On our road trip we visited the reclining Buddha, Krabi town and Tiger temple. In the tiger temple we had our first encounter with monkeys. They were cheeky but kept their distance.

To get to some of the temples we had to trek through some rain forest. It literally was a rain forest cos we had to take cover in a small cave whilst a monsoon passed. The place we took cover was also the home of many monks, we realized that when we spotted their orange robes drying outside! On the way back out we were walking along the path and strolling across was a big tortoise! My fav animal.
