The Gilli's
In the north west of Lombok there was three tiny sand islands called the Gilli's. We had heard a lot of good things about them and so were well excited to go.
The ferry, which was no more than a row boat with a motor got us to Gilli Trawangan in one hour. It was a stunning little island. There was a dirt track around the outside of the island with only horse and cart as transport. There were little chilled out cafe's, bars, two clubs and beach cinema which we loved. The other two Gilli Islands were so close you could literally swim to them.
Our plan was to stay two nights but we ended up staying six just basically after being woken up by Mosque prayers in early morning we would have our typical Indonesian breakfast banana pancake and strong black coffee and head for the beach where we'd spend all day. So after so much traveling in past few weeks we had the perfect break.
Oh and I almost forgot to mention, illegal highs where so normal in Gili T and especially Mushroom shakes, they where been sold everywhere as if it was a normal smoothie hahahah!
Next day we made our (looong) way back to Bali to catch the flight to Malaysia woop!
