We arrived in Prague for the second time on the 12th March. Our hostel was not as good as the one we had previously stayed in: it was much further out of the city. But as we were only staying two nights, and we had already seen the main attractions, we didn't mind.
As soon as we arrived we had some rubbish pasta for tea. Then we headed into town to meet Lisa and Steve, two people from our hostel in Krakow. When we met them they had also brought our people from their hostel, so we were a group of about 8 or 9 in all. First we went to a bar Alan knew from his last trip to Prague on Spencer's stag do. We drank mojitos and long island iced tea. After that we all went to a club down on the river. It was totally cheesy, quite like Halifax in fact but we had a dance and a good time. I enjoyed the dance floor that lit up in different colours. We left the club at about half five, and got our first taxi of the trip back to the hostel. (well worth it!)
The next day wqe woke up quite late and decided to make a trip to the mearby massive Tesco. They had a brilliant foreign section so we stocked up on curry suace and pesto. I got a bit emotional when I saw the English section: mustard, bisto and marmite! After that we basically did nothing and hung out in the hostel for the rest of the day, cooking delicious meals for ourselves to help our recovery.
We had to get up early and check out the next day. We left our bags in the hostel and got the tram into town. We had decided to get the train later that day so we could watch the Liverppol- Man utd match. We met up with a couple of Austalians and went to the Irish bar about two hoursa early to get a good seat. While we waited we ate overpriced Heinz beans on toast. They were good though. The match was awful. Liverpool won 4-1. Alan was annoying me, although we had agreed a no gloating rule before the match. I was in a mood.
After that we had to rush back to the hostel in time to pick up our bags and get the train...
