As you all know by now (or have seen on facebook) cooks decided to propose!
After we'd checked into that lovely suite we went down for dinner - amazing but i actually couldnt breathe after it. He left just towards the end because he said he needed a poo. He had been that long i wondering if he was coming back at all (what he was actually doing was getting champagne glasses and taking them back to the room). He was stalling me until it went dark by feeding me mojitos at the bar - being an alcoholic i didnt complain. We got back to the room and by this point niagara falls had lit up - he sent me out to fill the ice bucket, when i returned the floor was lined with rose petals and there were candles dotted about and the fire place was on. He asked me to stay standing when i reached the window and got down on one knee...''aisha akmed'' will you marry me - ha thats not even my name! ring box was empty told me to go to the frige where i found a card and the bottle of cristal. Got me a delightful turtle ring, im not allowed my real one whilst travelling incase i loose it. Amazing - the champagne popped itself as it had quite the journey from england. I've had masses of emails from shelley mchale since about being a bridesmaid.
The day after we packed up and drove to milton - ontario canada. Where Hal lives - beautiful house!!! They couldnt of been more hospitable - cooking, washing for us. We caught the train into toronto for the day. Cool city, walked and walked.. went through china town and checked out the CN tower. There was a random outdoor spinning class too. walked down to the harbour and saw loads of pirate ships...caught a ferry to centre island, so cool it has its own beach and parks and of cause a really nice bar where you can sit and stare at the toronto sky line. we sat there most the day just people watching...i got poo'd on by a segull..that wasnt so good!
Got up at 5am today and drove back to NYC..had lunch with si and co..he had some bad news, his visa has been revoked so has got to go back to england until next year and apply for his green card. Barclay dropped us off at newark and thats where we currently are - ready to start trek america tomorrow!
Next stop is Washington DC!
