We met a rondom German girl on the way to El Chalten who joined us on our trek. Over every hill and around every turn I was amazed at the scenery. The landscape was majestic and the river that ran through this area from the glacier lagoon had a milky blue shine to it. After over 3 hours we reached the Laguna Torre, our end destination. This was awesome, the glacier was hanging off the cliff of the mountain and the lagoon looked like it formed a desert beach on the opposite side of the mountain. One thing is for sure, conquering this terrain was definitely worth the effort. On the way back I was struck by how awesome and grand the surrounding was. Six hours later we returned to a well deserved sleep and celebratory dinner, seeing that it was Rona's birthday.
