Last night we went into town and sat outside on the street. The kids went off exploring while Andrew and I tucked into a pitcher of sangria, some mussels and fries, and some trout and shrimp ceviche. Kids came back and we all shared a couple of GREAT burgers. M and J discovered the awesomeness of overeasy eggs on a hamburger. Got up this morning, eggs and biscuits at home, stopped to get snacks at the Lider and drove to the Osorno volcano in the Parque Nationale Vicente Perez Rosales. Low clouds covered the peak and we were able to climb around some cool craters etc. as we watched the fog ebbing and flowing around the ridges. Snacks in the car including super flavorful bananas and we made our way to Lago Todos los Santos for lunch at the Petrohue Lodging House. Andrew and I shared a Chilean salad of tomatoes, onions, green chiles, and cilantro and a really great bowl of mussel stew. If lunch was a contest, we won! The lake was gorgeous and we will be back to explore the waterfalls and maybe swim? When we asked about swimming the boat guy looked at us like we were crazy. It is FALL here after all and the highs are 59. Back home and now we are relaxing before we go out for more FOOD.
