Back to Ieper to check in and go down to the Menin Gate.
The sound of the Last Post is always moving but to hear in under the Menin Gate in a ceremony that has been going for 70 years makes it even more so. Given the daily ceremony started well after the Gate was completed I wonder if the designers knew how well the acoustics would be for the sounding of bugles, because it certainly makes a fantastic sound.
