After a lovely albeit HOT 5 days on the houseboat, it was time to make tracks up to Milwaukee as we were expecting a few VERY special guests. Some of our best friends from Aus Rachel Paeper and Liam Jones were making the trip down from Minneapolis where they have recently relocated. It has been 2.5 months since I've seen these two, and that is far too long for me.

Upon arrival we settled in and caught up over a few local beers. Being that it was the 4th of July, we felt fireworks were in order. We piled in the car and made our way to a local community firework show. With a blanket set up in the outfield of a baseball diamond, wine opened, and snacks laid out, I felt it really was a quintessential 4th of July experience, particularly for our Aussie friend, Liam.

We made it to bed 'relatively' early as we had a BIG week ahead of us. The next few days are hard to run through, given our awesomely busy schedule, however, suffice to say it contained all of the following:

- Milwaukee Brewers Game
- Summerfest
- Picking up of (the one and only) Caity Noonan from the airport
- An incredible *ss whooping by Caity and I in Sequence against Bry and Liam.
- Private Miller Brewery Tour (Thanks Liisa)
- Eastside mini pub-crawl
- Summerfest round deux. (lots of rocking out!)
- DJ Dance Off
- Lakefront Brewery Stop
- Milwaukee Brewing Company Open House
- Engagement Celebration! With Cake (Thanks Jenni!) and the obligatory Engagement Beer Bong
- Dance Party Round Deux @ Rouge
- Lake Boating
- BBQ w/ Bag-O & Frickets
- An Epic Hot Tub Club

That about wraps up our weekend. We awoke early as unfortunately we were losing a soldier. Caity was heading back to the Bay to take care of some business.
