We made it to Longmont! Home of team Simcock.
It has been an incredible visit so far.
Thursday began with a good fishing session for Adrian. He caught a couple of nice size trout (I really have no idea) before hiking out of our beautiful camp spot. We hit up the Pumphouse (local brewery) on our way into town. Very delicious!!
We met up with Julie (good friend since age 5) and her hubby Jeff and jumped into their Element heading to Morrison, CO Red Rocks Amphitheater for My Morning Jacket. It really was more than a concert it was quite literally a spiritual experience. What an incredible place!?
The show was fantastic, minus a few sound hiccups! :(
Adrian headed back to California for the weekend on Friday. But the remaining three hit up Osker Blues brewery for yummy beer, delicious food, and some interesting Bluegrass.
Saturday was tubing day! We went to Meadows Park for picnic, day drinking, and some killer tubing. We all managed to stay in our tubes aside from Jeff's major dump over one of the rapids!
Saturday night we went over to their friend's house for a BBQ and then to Carbon Valley Festival for an awesome Drew Emmitt show and a fantastico fireworks display. We DEFINITELY got our ho-down on!!!
Sunday we got up and headed out past Lyons, CO into South St. Vrain Canyon for some rock climbing.
We savaged our way across a raging river and up a 100ft 5.9- rating rock face. Three badasses!! :)
We finished off the day out with a sampler at the third and final Longmont brewery Lefthand. Mmmmmm
We're just about to get into some dinner with fresh veggies from the Simcock garden. Incredible time here!!
