After hearing a pretty alarming story about a girl from our milhouse hostel being held at gunpoint when trying to get the ferry to Uruguay we made sure we were pretty switched on for the trip. She was robbed of everything ; back pack, passport, wallet, camera , everything but the close on her back - scary s***!
Got the colonia express ferry straight across to Uruguay and were hoping that we could keep moving south by bus straight away to either Montevideo or were we wanted to settle at punta de diablo. No Deal! All buses booked so looked like we were spending the night in the little sleepy costal town of colonia.
Pretty cool to just cruise around the cobbled streets and soak in its little European feel. Even though we (me, Matty and DC) didnt really get up to much was a cool chilled out time which was very necessary after the BA liver massacre!
Rose early the next morning for two bus legs ; Colonia - Montevideo , Montevideo - punta del diablo

Didnt really know much about the joint other than it is a little more off the beaten track, with a beautiful beach making it the ideal chillen destination ... Exactly what we were after !
