Line dancing, DBD Plus (dancing by definition) and regular plus...all in a long day! It's pretty cool how you can just drift from hall to hall...whatever takes your fancy!
We met at 9.45am in the lobby, ready to head over to the hall to check out the stalls which were opening at 10am. There was lots of people waiting at the doors...almost like the boxing day sales! I bought a couple of t-shirts with square dance logos on them and some earrings.
Then we headed over to do a line dance introduction session. I found it a bit boring though as the instructor waffled on too much.
Then lunch followed by checking out the DBD hall. Wow!! It was hard!! I messed up quite a bit, but mind you, it does make a difference when the rest of your square also has no clue!
We met up again for dinner. We didn't like the buffet menu at our hotel, the Sheraton, so decided to skip across the road to the Marriot and we had their buffet. It was nothing too fancy, roast chicken and potatoes and salads and dessert.
Graham & Lorraine were keen to return to the DBD hall, but I struggled with that a lot, so I chose to hang out at the regular Plus hall for the evening. I had some good squares and had fun.
We met up at the end at the hotel bar for a few drinks and to compare notes and stories on our evening, which was fun!
Afterwards, we returned to Lorraine's room to Skype with mum so she could join us in our afterparty, which was nice, and she got to catch up with us all and hear our stories about how much fun we're having.
All in all, a fun day of dancing!
