Warsaw has got to be the most suprising of the places we have visited so far. The guide books hadn't really been that enthusiastic so we were expecting to just have a day then move on. However, the city is massive and there is so much to see and do. It has a beautiful Old Town, Castle Walls and amazing buildings round every turn.
What a fantastic city to spend my 30th Birthday in. Spent the day meandering around the streets, stopping for coffee and taking way too many photos, before heading to an Indian restaurant for dinner. I realise this wasn't the most traditional of Polish cuisines but to be fair the polish aren't really into providing for two veggie hippies like us!
Just in case you hadn't gathered already, I had a fabulous birthday and I must say that Dai really made it special for me. I also enjoyed reading all the cards from home (it was a bit like Big Brother, only I didn't cry and I didn't have to dance like an idiot or get electrocuted in the arse for the privilege!)
Really can't recommend Warsaw enough!
By the way we don't have some kind of weird facination with the Polish army it's just a library picture that you have to choose from before you can publish the blog. sometimes it's slim pickings!
Scores in the tractor game to date:
Abi:9 Dave:3 (we had to change the rules to make it easier for him!)
