Spent today catching up on washing & packing, then headed out to get last minute souvenirs, as today is our last day in Australia!! Had dinner on Opera Quays, to our left we had the Harbour Bridge & to our right we had the Opera House. We then tried to have a drink inside the Opera House but they were having a ticket only event, so we headed to the terrace below instead. Great view of the bridge but not of the Opera House. Drinks were cheaper than at Penn!!!...

Decided to do our own version of a harbour cruise & got on a couple of ferries going in different direction in the harbour & sat on them til they did a circuit. Way better than pay for a proper cruise. Tonight going to queue up outside the opera house & hopefully get to see the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, albeit on a big screen outside. We got their early enough so we able to secure our seat on the steps of the forecourt. Whilst waiting for the conce...

Went to Paddy's market this morning, reminded me of Hong Kong, lots of cheap stuff. Then wandered round the shops. Went up Sydney Tower, great views of the harbour & city. Included in the ticket price was this thing called Oztrek, which was a film about australia & everyone's in motion seats so it feels like you're in the film.

Dropped the Zebra off in Botany this morning, stopping off to see Le Perouse, where Cook & the french first landed in oz. Then headed to the OPera House, very cool. Did a guided tour, saw inside the 2 main concert halls. On friday night we're going to see the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, however, we'll be watching it on a big screen outside rather than inside. Then wandered into "The Rocks" & got some great views of the bridge, & went window shopping.

Left Canberra this morning, headed for Sydney. Did a little detour around Sydney to go to Palm Beach, aka Summer Bay. Absolutely stunning, very close to a national park & its on a peninsula so ocean on one side & calm harbour on the other. Went to the Surf Club & saw some filming!! Lucas was the only character I recognised. Had a walk along the beach & around the bay. Then headed south for Sydney. Drove over the Harbour Bridge, virtually no view f...
