Up at 4am to go to Kings Canyon, a 3hr drive away. We started the walk at 9.15am & it was 29C at the bottom, we then headed up cardiac hill, which was 500 severe steps up the side of the rim. We then walked round the rim, a total of 3hr walk, then we stopped for lunch at Kings Canyon Resort before starting the drive home. En Route we checked out Mount Connor, looks like Uluru but is a table top mountain.

Another early start, this time heading out to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) 36 domes that look like mini Uluru's. We did the Valley of the Winds walk through the domes. they are much more porous than Uluru so there was a lot more vegetation & wildlife on the route. Staying in a 20bed dorm on the resort. We were up before sunset to head down to Uluru, standing in the freezing cold waiting for the sun to come up. After sunrise to looked round the cultural centre, the joined a short guided tour of a couple of the gorges. Then we set out on the base walk, which seem to go on forever. We're heading back again this evening for sunset.
