We are now in Vientiane the capital of Laos. Yesterday in Vang Vieng we went to tubing basically floating down river in an inner tubing stopping along the way for beer and jumping from bamboo towers. I think I could happily of spent a year tubing in Laos. At one of places we parked our tubes they assessed our group and then brought out a speacial menu where you could buy special shakes special tea mushroom shakes and special sandwiches!

Its still very humid but the rain has started and may not stop for a week or two. Climbed the top of the Patuxai a Laos version of the Arc de Triomphe great views of city. Last night went out for dinner that had cockroaches on the menu someone at the table opposite had them and Emily who loves taking pictures went over to them and took a picture. Will try to get a copy so you can all see. Expect to be in Vietnam when I next update.
