Decided to return to Quito so Jon cold have a comfortable room and modern, clean bathroom while he was sick! Not a great time for Jon!
I caught up with the blog, actually replied to emails and was, of course, a dedicated nurse! Arrived in Quito for huge street parties lasting until 4 am - Ecuadorians can party!

After Jon felt human again, we headed to the ultra tourist site - Mitad Del Mundo. You have to see the equator line! Went to a few different sites and were told that the equator line was in 3 different places! My favourite argument stated that the tourist equator line divides the world in half (north and south) but the real pre-Inca equator line is seen as a place where both sides of the world meet and brings the world together.
