How plans change! We had hoped to head out to the secluded San Blas islands, hoping for another Fiji style experience, but the weather had other ideas! We ended up being stuck in Panama City for 5 days- getting drenched! Up early to begin our trek. The road was so rocky vehicles can´t even make it to the park entrance; we had to walk 1k to reach the park! The climb was definitly a challange and tested our fitness levels! We walked over HUGE boulders, then over rocky road and it was all at a 45 degree angle! A quick, painless journey to Boquete. They showed movies the whole way on the bus - the most gruesome, pointlessly violent horrors I´d ever seen! And the bus was full of children! We really enjoyed our 2 days exploring the city. Miraflores locks were very interesting and I (Jon), couldn´t stop taking photos! (Lila got bored after watching the 50th ship go through!) We wondered around the beautiful Casca Viejo by night. A charming historical quarter with a lovely atmosphere.
