What an amazing place and an eventful day! Lush is the word for St.Lucia - tropical rainforests, towering mountains, beautiful beaches... gorgeous views everywhere! We got to see so many amazing things thanks to Natasha, my old friend from my Cambodian/Laos travels, and Pierre being such great tour guides!
My favourite spots - Marigot Bay, under the counter rum stops!, The Pitons, Sulphur Springs and volcano... but number one has to be chilling at Ladera, sipping gorgeous cocktails, sitting right between the two pitons with the sun beaming, bliss!
The drive to reach our boat was fun - touch and go all the way! The roads are an adventure themselves in St Lucia! Steep, bumpy, lots of hairpin corners and so high! But Natasha was well used to it and flew along - loved it! Discussing what our plans B and C could be when we realised we would probably miss the boat! Natasha would be concentrating, zooming along and then, sudddenly, would say,´On the left is....´ - brilliant guide all the way! The car went from being tense to us all in hysterics and joking,´Shall we stroll up to it?´The rest of the speedy drive was spent in giggles - even Jon who must have developed a stomach ulcer from his big stress head!
Twenty minutes late, we reached the harbour, gave speedy hugs, I flicked of my flip-flops and we darted towads the ship. The locals in the shops were yelling at us - ´Faster´, Ýou´ve missed it, you´ll have to swim´. Ýou can do it!´... and as we approached the gangway we heard the officer yelling to raise it! But we made it!
Wished i could stay here longer; there is so much to do and so much more gossip to have with Natasha! We must return! Thanks for a great time you two!
