Jon loved it here! This is the island he could see himself living on!!! Lovely atmosphere, lush rainforest, towering mountains, quaint towns, pretty beaches - I see what he likes, but I´m still not convinced! But it was lots of fun trying to remember my Leaving Cert. French!

Being a geography geek, I had to get to St Pierre to see a town destroyed by an eruption. It had been rumbling for weeks but the government didn´t want to evacuate because the election day was almost there! Everyone was killed in 2 minutes, except one prisoner in his cell! Was such an interesting trip. Brilliant museum and saw huge boulders of lava!

Visited the Depaz Distillary - it makes rum so Jon was there a while! Gorgeous flavours of rum and so cheap AND they give free samples!! Jon was a happy man!
