I arrived late the evening before at my hostel ‘Lub D- Siam Square. This hostel was provided free to me by STA Travel. Breakfast wasn’t included so I went to the local supermarket, there chain there is called seven11, I bought some packaged bananas and cold bread. It was weird to see that they package all of there bananas separately.

That morning I decided to get the metro Train to mo chit, this was were the famous chituchuk market was located.

Getting the train was an experience in itself. When I arrived at the metro station, you could only pay by coins to get your ticket, no notes were accepted. There was a counter where you could change notes for coins. There was a board where you could find your chosen stop and it would tell you how many coins you needed.

After recovering my ticket I boarded the train. I started eating the rest of my breakfast then a tanoi said that there is not food or drink allowed to be opened on this train. I slowly put it away and some Thai locals laughed at me!

I arrived at Mo Chit, and made my way to the market. The market was huge, I have never seen anything like it! It was ten times bigger than Camden.

I ended up spending the whole day there, got lost numerous times. I bought a lovely tie die top, a delicious banana ice cream and a smoothie! I also had a half an hour foot massage which was really interesting. She started on my feet but made her way all the way up my leg!

On my way back I stopped in at Mbk and Siam discovery shopping centres. These are the main shopping malls in Bangkok. I was surprised to see a Boots when I was there! The shopping malls in Bangkok where so modern and everything seemed so shiny and new. Even there window displays where extravagant and lit up!

That evening I went for Dinner with rob from Plymouth and shar from Singapore. These where the two guys who I had met in my hostel room last night. Both so so lovely. Shar was very helpful with the food, as I wasn’t sure what I should order that doesn’t have nuts in! I ended up having a Tom Yum Soup which was delicious!

After dinner me and Rob had Drinks outside hostel and I managed to get bitten to death!
