I Checked out the Lub d hostel but left bag in the hostel for the day.
I Bought some snacks from the seven11 shop and even a delicious ham and cheese toastie which they are famous for!
This morning I Managed to work out how to get local bus to ‘The Temple of the Golden Buddha’. I took one bus which took me straight there. The buses weren’t that confusing once you got the hang of it! I was the only westerner on the bus!
Temple was pretty and interesting and there was a big goldden Buddha there. Although I still think INDIA has the most beautiful temples.
I then Walked to China town and down some narrow lanes where they had markets but motor bikes speeding down the narrow lanes. I had a cheeky KFC as I needed to find WiFi!
I then Got another bus to the Grand Palace - Wat Phra Kaew. I did have to ask a few people were the bus station was as it wasn’t clear at all!
The Grand Palace was crazy! I had never seen so many tourists. I queued to get my ticket then you queue again to get it but it was so crammed, there were people head to head! I finally walked in and realised what all of the fus was about. It was amazing! I have never seen that many amazing, brightly coloured buildings! It was hard to get good pictures of any of the temples as there was so so many tourists there.
I managed to Get on the wrong bus on the way back but the kind lady didn’t charge me, she just directed me in where to change. I Then had to get two buses back to Siam so I could collect my backpack.
I finally arrived Back in Siam, went to boots to purchase some face cream. I then went and collected my backpack and Got an Uber to Mad monkey hostel near Koh San Road.
I walked into the Mad Monkey hostel expecting it to be crazy but it was rather tame. Met Liverpool Karl who was sharing the same dorm, he was really lovely. He had two friends coming this evening. So we Drank in bar and waited for the two girls to arrive. They finally arrived and we went Koh San road- it was so too late!
