So today was the day of activities. I woke up at 6, ready for sunrise yoga on our hotel terrace. We waited in the reception for our instructor to arrive. After half an hour he still hadn’t arrived, so me and Sarah changed our minds and decided to go to breakfast instead.
We went to a cafe called Rainbow which looked into the river. It was a rooftop terrace place, we were the first ones there as it was only 8am! We both had an omelette which was really delicious, although we decided after to get a portion of chips too as we were sooo hungry haha! Eventually more people started to join us gradually. We didn’t leave that place until 12:30! We went and looked around the markets then eventually arrived at the artists place (Janak Art, Hotel Janak Niwas, 15 Shaiwalon Ki Gali) for our henna. He did an amazing job on everyone, we were all very impressed, it only took him 5 mins on each person! Me and Sarah then went to a posh hotel on the river to sit up on the rooftop terrace for lunch, I had a cheese sandwich whilst we both planned our trips around Soith East Asia.
We then went back to the hotel to freshen up before going once again back to the artists house for a cooking lesson. We arrived at 6pm and were taken to the roof where a small kitchen display was set up. We learnt how to make Dal, Nann, Paneer etc. It was great to see how simple the dishes actually were. I helped make samosas which was really fun! At the end we all sat down and had a meal together and he also provided us with the recipes!
We all had a meal at the hotel before an early night.
