Today we explored Jaisalmer Fort! We explored every crack and cranny of the golden fort. It was amazing! It was founded in 1156 by Rajput ruler, many battles had been fought here. This fort is the most unique in India as it still has 3000 people living inside!! We arrived at the fort by foot, it was only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. We all woke up early in Bikaner and got a train to Jaisalmer which took approximately 6.5 hours. Taking the train was an interesting event, it was freezing cold and there was a lot of pushing to get your bags in compartments. We arrived in Jaisalmer ready to explore the ancient city. We checked into our hotel (Mahadev Palace, H-3, RICCO, Jethwai Road) which was very comfortable. We had a free day. So we had time to relax around the hotel and stroll into the town...
