So today I woke up, had a much needed shower and hair wash in a surprisingly hot shower.
Once ready, I decided to go out to find some water and food. As soon as I walked out of the door, a well spoken English Indian man pounded on me! He was asking where I was from, what I am doing. So he insisted on taking me to find water. Thankfully it was only round the corner, the market seller was going to give me a pink bottle but the man who took me insisted that wasn’t the one to drink and suggested another one so that it was sealed. We then walked back in the direction of my hotel and he insisted on taking me for half an hour on his tuk tuk for 20rupees which is like 22p! I made up an excuse that I was meeting my group shortly as I thought it wasn’t a good idea to go on my own! I ended up giving him the 20rupees and exchanging numbers!
I then went back to my room and had two hours before I meet with my group.
Group were all so lovely! Made friends with two Australians, two londerners and a South African! Had an hour talk about the trip and the do’s and Dont’s. One story he did say was that a tourist got dragged on the floor yesterday in Delhi whilst holding onto her bag! So we are all super cautious! Haven’t got my phone or camera out in public yet!
When for dinner thankfully as I was so hungry! Had a coliflour and potato curry with garlic Nan. Was really nice! Hopefully I don’t get Delhi belly over night!
