Well!.... Going back to what we've been up to since my last blog.. Had another day of tubing with Andy and Kaylee, loads of fun and the day had a more successful ending this time as we got back befored dark! Although did have to run all the way from the river to the tubing station to get there in time to get the deposit back! We did it though! Tom lost another pair of sunglasses and this time his hat. At least he came back with his vest and a tube this time though! Yesterday we had a quiet day, it was Tom's birthday but he wasn't feeling up to much due to a few too many drinks the day before, during and after tubing! We went to a cave quite close by, had to pay twice to get in (once just to get into the grounds I think) and it wasn't even that impressive. Although it was nice to get out of the heat for a while!

We arrived in Vientiane yesterday afternoon, all on our own as we have departed from Andy and Kaylee :( for now anyway, they can't get rid of us that easily!! After finding somewhere to stay (a decent enough guest house but our room in on the fourth floor so lots of steep stairs up to it!!) off we went to find somewhere that was showing the man united v liverpool match.. Didn't take long too find somewhere.....Phew!! Didn't think that much of Vientiane to start with last night but looking around today its quite nice for a city! We went to see the Patuxai (in the picture) which is a replica of the arc de triomphe in Paris. Went all the way to the top and there is a really good view of the city. We also went to Talat Sao, the day market, I bought a dress with elephants on and a book mark! Then had to stop as we are running low on Kip and didn't really want to get anymore out before we leave Laos tomorrow.

Just had a skype with mum dad and archie (and even sid!) and a chat with nan and sarah too which was lovely :)

Our flight to Hanoi is at 1.30pm tomorrow (so happy we are flying and not doing the 24hour bus trip!)
