We're just on our ferry back from a day visit to the Isle of Capri. Our guide, Enrico was quite a character who gave us a good tour both on our boat tour & walking through the town of Capri, a very smick place especially the shopping with designer shops everywhere. It's amazing how this Island was 1st inhabited by the Romans as a defensive area. over the years this was replaced by a Monastry & a couple of small fishing villages. More recently it too was claimed by the rich & famous throughout the 60's who saw it as a reclusive place. Since then it has consolidated into a very popular tourist destination in this area.
