3 days of sailing on a 1920's boat called Ron of Argylle !!
Day 1- Sailed for nearly 4 hours in the pouring rain over to the Whitsundays!!! Got absolutely drenged but was quite fun jumping over the waves! When we arrived at our first stop on Hook Island we went scuba diving, had our tea and spent the night in the same location. Spent the night talking and drinkin up deck with Simon n Sophie n ended up being the last 4 to bed!
Day 2- Slightly regreting the previous late nite as we were awoken by our captain shouting at 6:45am to get into our wetsuits ASAP......n he meant it....for 10 whole minutes he shouted and shouted tellin us to hurry up as we were flung into a dingy and chucked into sea bu 7:00am. it was such a blur, lol. By the time we had recoverd we had set sail to whitehaven beach which was beautiful. the clouds lifted and the sun shone through for 5 hours! on the way to the beach we saw a turtle and humpback whales!!! :D Had tea and rice pudding and spent the night playing cards and eating ginger nut biscuits, yum yum!!
Day 3- Woke up a 8am with breakfast already out and no shouting....BLISS! Sailed over to Dumbell Island and had out last snorkel before heading to s secluded beach where we saw reef sharks and stingrays!! Had dinner on the beach and sunbathed all the way home were we both got burnt, whoops! Back at Airlie Beach we met Si n Soph for dinner and met the rest of the ppl on the trip, had a drink n headed of to the greyhound to head down to Hervye Bay!
